Chess instructor Guarang Mehta is a coach who has traveled to many World Chess Olympiad and World Chess Championships representing National Indian Teams. As a FIDE-rated 2120 (equivalent to USCF rating of 2000+) and international FIDE arbiter, he arrived in the U.S. in 2000 as the coach of the Indian Team with Grand Master Barua in the World Championship at Las Vegas. He has also traveled with many top Indian GMs like former World Champion Anand, Shashikiran, Harikrishnan to name a few.
He has a natural gift and patience in working with kids which has been proven through his students’ achievements. His students Alisha, Hiya, and Agunes, have qualified for Team USA in the World Youth Championships and Cameron Whiller took home the silver medal with a recent USCF rating of 2280. Furthermore, he has authored 2 books on chess playing.

Daniel Naroditsky is an International Grandmaster, World Youth Under-12 Champion (2007), U.S. Junior Champion (2013), three-time U.S. Scholastic Champion. In 2014 Naroditsky tied for 1st–5th in the Millionaire Chess Open in Las Vegas, Nevada, participant of the USA chess championship finals.
Daniel is a member of the USA national chess team – played for the team USA on the world chess team championship in Armenia.
He is currently attending Stanford University as a member of the Class of 2019.
He will be coming to MindCraft Academy this Sunday 8/21 and will be playing Simultaneous Chess Play directly with your child and conducting a chess lecture exclusively for MindCraft Academy! These arts are taught through an oral tradition using vocal percussion syllables to teach drumming, dance & singing. Learn the poetic and mathematical patterns of Indian Percussion. Workshop is an engaging introduction to one of the world’s greatest classical arts traditions and will lay a strong foundation for future skills and concepts that increase focus & problem solving.
Mr. Owen is a percussionist, educator, producer & composer. Owen began training in the North Indian percussion instrument, tabla, studying at the Ali Akbar College of Music, at the CA Institute of the Arts, & in India. In 1995, Owen began studying South Indian percussion instruments. Owen holds a Master’s Degree in World Music from CA Institute of the Arts. In 1999, Owen received a fellowship from the American Institute of Indian Studies, which enabled him to spend 2.5 years living in India conducting research on percussion ensembles in India.

Saroj Khan ji is one of the most prominent Indian dance choreographers in Hindi cinema.
