Chess For Fun – for Children

FREE and fun group for kids interested to play Chess for fun and  develop their skills. Preferred ages 9 to 14.
We take turns to host the sessions. Some of us can provide minimum
guidance. Kids should know to play chess.

Simultaneous display and Chess Lecture By Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky

Dear Parents, Do not miss this chess opportunity for your child! Cost is only $25 per child.
This chess lesson will be a unique opportunity for your child to play against famous International Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky. Daniel Naroditsky is an International Grandmaster, World Youth Under-12 Champion (2007), U.S. Junior Champion (2013), three-time U.S. Scholastic Champion. In 2014 Naroditsky tied for 1st–5th in the Millionaire Chess Open in Las Vegas, Nevada, participant of the USA chess championship finals.
Daniel is a member of the USA national chess team – played for the team USA on the world chess team championship in Armenia.
He is currently attending Stanford University as a member of the Class of 2019.
He will be coming to MindCraft Academy this Sunday 8/21 and will be playing Simultaneous Chess Play directly with your child and conducting a chess lecture exclusively for MindCraft Academy! The player who lasts the longest will be awarded a signed copy of Naroditsky’s autobiographical book. The winner will also be awarded a signed copy of his book.

At Nurture Kids Pleasanton, Nationally Accredited Coach Edward Lewis would be conducting a 4 Week Chess Camp for 90 mins daily. Fun environment, exciting games and individualized curriculum provided for the students.

Monday to Friday

July 5-8 : 2 pm to 3:30 pm
July 18-22 : 2 pm to 3:30 pm

Special Event – Summer Chess Camp with (IM) Emory Tate

If your kids are interested in learning or improving their chess playing skills, here’s a great opportunity!
Achievements Academy in Dublin proudly announces Special Guest Emory Tate (IM) is hosting a chess camp this week 8/3-8/7 from 1:30 to 4:30 at our center.
Emory Tate is an American International Master of chess. His FIDE rating is 2322 on the rating list, making him the 277th highest-rated player in the United States. Tate has earned a reputation as a creative and dangerous tactician on the U.S. chess circuit, where he has won about 80 tournament game against Grandmasters. Tate won the United states Armed Forces Championship five times. He is one of the highest-rated chess players.
Space is limited. First come first serve. Private and small group lessons are also available with Emory.

USCF Rated Chess Tournament Apr 18

Dear Parents,
Achievements Academy is hosting the (United States Chess Federation) USCF Rated Tournament this Saturday April 18, 2015 from 3:30-5:00 pm (or 5:30 pm if needed).
We welcome all chess players from beginner to tournament levels. If you do not have an USCF ID, please sign up at the official United States Chess Federation web site. If you do not remember your USCF ID or if you are not sure if you have one, you can also go to the link to find out.

Tournament Location: 7033 Village Pkwy, Suite 212, Dublin CA 94568
(We are located 2 buildings from the Dublin Post Office. It is a two-story building anchored with Metro PCS and Music World. You can turn onto Lewis Ave and pull into the parking lot. We are on the second floor.)

Entry Fee: $20 for 3 games
Award: Toy”R”Us gift card and Trophy awarded to the first place winner. Medals awarded to the second, third, and fourth place players.
