Desis in Livermore?

New to Bay area ,We are a family with two kids ( 6 and 3 year old), I work in Pleasanton and my husband works in Cupertino. We are considering buying a single family house in south Livermore area (Sunset elementary or Emma Smith elementary) . We will feel a lot more confident about our decision to buy in Livermore if we knew of few Indian families in the area. How are these schools in comparison to Pleasanton and Dublin schools? Any other Pros and Cons of buying a home in Livermore? Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Need advise on Apartments and Schools in Dublin/Pleasanton ca.

Hi Friends, This is Mahalakshmi and my husband got a job in SF downtown and are moving early July 2016. I have 1 kid who is 5 years old. We are moving from NewYork and request information.

  1. Please suggest us good Indian community apartments where we can find families with kids and also close to Elementary and Pre Schools(which doesn’t have lottery, heard we cannot move to fremont because of lottery based admission).
  2. We are open to both Dublin and Pleasanton.
  3. I don’t drive a car so must be able to drop the kids to preschool and kindergarten by walking.

Please provide us some information and you can reach me on [email protected].
Thanks for your help in advance
Mahalakshmi.

India Community Center – Expansion Effort to Tri-Valley

There is an exciting community effort underway to bring the India Community Center that was established in Milpitas over 12 years ago to the Tri-Valley area.
The ICC leadership is actively trying to secure a location and are looking at pulling things together in the next few months. As the ICC looks to expand into Tri-Valley the organizing team would like to get to know community minded leaders in the area.
We are also kicking off our fundraising efforts this week! It takes a community to pull together to make this happen. If you would like to be a founding member, please email Manju at manj…@i…com.
We are also looking for folks who could host informational meetings locally. Please contact us and take the lead on bringing ICC close to you!

Sai Sai Temple – Pleasanton

The Sai Baba temple in Pleasanton is organizing its one year anniversary celebration on Sunday, September 14th. The day is full of activities with Bhajans, Dance Performance by children, etc. Sai Baba Temple PleasantonSai Sai Temple, Pleasanton The attendance at the temple has steadily been increasing over the past year. The weekly high point is considered to be the usual Thursday Aarti between 7:45 and 9:00. The temple is open everyday morning and evening.
The temple was formed as a break away from the Sri Datta Sai Mandir, San Ramon when 6 or 7 volunteers pooled resources and took up a location on rent in Pleasanton at the Hopyard exit, near Home Depot. To their credit, you don’t see any names – only silent volunteer work towards their purpose.
The temple is always looking for volunteers, or you can sign up to contribute towards the wish list.
So if you live in the area, a good place to make a spiritual call to, especially on Thursday evenings. You will also get a feel of the community, see kids helping each other in their own little area with color crayons, volunteers helping with prasadam (food) and some others hanging outside.
