Cafe Tazza in Dublin

Cafe Tazza is a bakery, snack cafe, and a fast food restaurant in the heart of Dublin, near busy Hacienda area. It’s one of the older restaurants that have done well over the years. It was the informal place to go to before others showed up in the area.
The owners purchased next door Haveli and recently combined together the seating to create a rather large seating area – helping with the squeezed up seating available inside or outside of the cafe.
They have a great menu and offer some great fare. Cafe Tazza is one place where you can get the entire range – non-veg to eggless cakes, Indo-Chinese to Dosa, Pizza to Shakes.
They supply bakery to local grocery stores. Favorites are Haka Noodles, Gobi Manchurian, Chana Bhatura, Masala Chai, and Bakery/Sweets. Visit for a relaxed no pressure sit-down. But it’s a busy place over all – with foot traffic and cars from near by grocery store, kids’ after school classes, etc.

Chaat Bhavan in Dublin

Chaat Bhavan is a popular Indian vegetarian restaurant in Dublin. It is located on the Grafton St on the east side of Dublin, in the Lowes complex – close to Buffalo Wild Wings. It’s a part of a chain, with other locations in Fremont and Sunnyvale.

It’s a relatively large Indian restaurant, with a comprehensive vegetarian menu. There seems to be an effort to create the elegance of a sit-down restaurant with elements of fine dining (feature crisp white table napkins made of heavy cotton), but actually ends up with an over all casual atmosphere. It’s a well-run eatery with fast and efficient service.
The owners seem engaged and wanting – they come up with monthly specials. For instance, one month is special dishes from different regions, or another month is an emphasis on wraps and yet another on spicy food. The fare on offer is pan Indian, but one can see it’s oriented more towards north-Indian or a rather Punjabi side. Chaat Bhavan is also engaged with the community – it’s not rare to see them as sponsors on local Indian events.

Chaat Cafe in Dublin

Chaat Cafe is a fast food style Indian food eatery located in Dublin in the Fallon Gateway complex anchored by the new Target in east Dublin, close to BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, and just across the freeway from the San Francisco Premium Outlet Mall.
It’s part of chain of restaurants opened by the Mahal family, couple in San Jose, Fremont Mowry, and San Francisco Post. It’s known as a ‘counter-serve chain’ dishing up chaat, wraps, tandoori fare & curries.
It’s known for it’s wraps, $5 lunch specials, and courteous service.  Seating is modern, new. TV plays bollywood music. The fare is what you will call Punjabi. You place the order at the counter, and someone brings food rather quickly. At first it may not seem important, but the restaurant has refreshing touch – Achar, chutneys, napkins, water cups, to-go boxes are nicely stacked on one side, and your’s to pick.
