Summer Prep for Grades 1-3 Reading & Writing

Dear parents,
My name is Sarah, an elementary school teacher and I am heading into my fifth year of teaching. Michigan State University is my Alma Mater, (go green!) I graduated with a major in Elementary Education and a teaching focus in Language Arts. Additionally, I minored in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.)
This summer, I plan to bring my love and expertise in reading and writing to the incoming students in grades 1-3.  Early focus and mentoring in reading and writing helps children develop phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, and print awareness, which are skills associated with future reading and writing proficiencies.
I have taught reading and creative writing courses across elementary grade levels. I pride myself in fostering a fun, meaningful, and safe environment to flourish these skills and develop more assurance in one’s abilities. I am looking forward to the opportunity to share my expertise, and in turn, have students discover their own.
For enrollment or any questions about the summer program, please call or text my helpful team at 925-973-8087. Classes will be conducted online. I look forward to helping your child this summer!
