Elements of Reading from Talentnook is an effective reading program for all students including diverse learners such as Students with Disabilities and English Learners who participate in general education classroom instruction. We begin with very young readers, and our philosophy is that good reading skills lead to good writing skills. Our reading program is based on letter-sound recognition and word attack strategies with phonemic awareness and syllable breakdown.
Our Summer Programs are tailored to provide students the opportunity to explore their passion and interests that they wouldn’t otherwise be exposed to during the traditional school year. Just pick your child’s favorite subjects like Music, Art, English, Spanish, Math, Public Speaking, etc. Starting only at $12.15 per subject, per class!

Writing is an important life skill. It is not only important for academics but is a requirement for college admissions and for a successful professional life. Current school closures have made it even more critical.
Do not take it lightly. Parents SPEND thousands of dollars during high school years for SAT Prep and College Essay Counseling. That is a quick bandaid fix. Every parent should think of writing as a foundational skill that needs to be nurtured from an early age/grade level. You can INVEST a few hundred dollars now and help your child develop a skill that they will reap benefits from for the rest of their lives.
